I first walked through the doors at Straightcurves for a crochet course and immediately felt welcome and at ease.I had tried other crochet classes, but the teaching style of Owner Karen Rogers was patient, thorough and good-humoured, all things that are important for me.I have since furthered my crochet skills, learning a technique called Amigurumi at the studio run by lovely Alison, who is extremely patient and easy-going.The studio runs a plethora of courses and workshops, for adults and children, go to the website or pop in and have a look and a chat with the lovely staff.I have also attended beading and felting workshops, and a brilliant informal gathering called Woolly Wednesday where you take your latest woolly project, work and chat with other like-minded people at the studio and every time I come away with a new skill under my belt, and pleasing results, but ,most of all having enjoyed a really positive and enjoyable social interaction.I can honestly say discovering Straightcurves is the best thing I've done in 2014, and I would highly recommend it to anybody

Attended a great digital photography course. Have a great camera but was not using to it's full potential. Now I can talk Camera with the best of them and my pictures have improved too. Especially in poor lighting. Highly recommended.
