Visited the country park on several occasions with grandkids.Great place to chill and have a play on kids adventure playground. Nice cafeteria, selling hot and cold snacks along with tasty snacks .There is a Caravan site at the rear of the cafeteria that looks well maintained.The park has a large lake to walk around long with two smaller lakes.You can fish all three of the lakes if that's your hobby. Carnt say l have seen many ranges patrolling the country park, but never seen anything anti social either.Its a very relaxing place.Just to add on most Saturdays they have a marshalled cross country running event that is well attended
the campsirmte is a very clean friendly place ,the staff are approachable and there is a good stock of information leaflets.the facilities on site are all disabled friendly and the place see s to being run at a very good standard. there is no camping in tents here so is calling it a camp site a little unfair, maybe caravan /motor home park might be a better name,but this aside it's a great place to come good size pitches and plenty to do .
One of our favourite places for a walk and play (taking our son). Cafe serve nice coffee and food. Staff nice. Play area and park very clean and well maintained.
Beautiful quiet site, cycling/walking routes directly outside the site, playgrounds for younger and older children at the entrance to site, take a lovely walk around the lake. The site is very well kept with very nice clean and tidy toilet/shower blocks, wardens are very nice and helpful. Would definately recommend this site to anyone whether it be couples, families or dog owners, we have been to this site on many occasions during Summer and Winter, easy to get to, just off the M1 junction 29A if travelling up or down the country.
This is a really nice site. It's up to date with a comfortable loo block. For us it's not far from home but makes for a nice break. Relatively easy access to Chesterfield and certainly easy access to the motorway. The site is well managed so thank you wardens. I like the excellent touch of small cyclamen plants being put in handbasin cubicles and by the communal sinks. Makes it homely. Well done and thank you.
