Had to post a parcel back just before Christmas and despite it being super busy and I had que the staff were efficient and friendly and helped me when I didnt even have my parcel wrapped properly. There were people in the que complaining about it but the staff were patient and accommodating and dealt with everyone in a very professional manner. Not their fault there were so many customers.
I've walked out of this Post Office more times than I've waited in the queue, typically 20 minutes to be served. They never have enough staff and don't believe them when say they open at 8:30am!
Just tried to join the queue to post parcels abroad. Only 2 staff on duty on a Saturday afternoon with one, elderly confused lady needing to speak to an operative for over 10 minutes. Clearly, insufficient staff for the demand, queue with over 20 frustrated customers and both self service kiosks out of use. Really poor service, gave up waiting, managed to get a lift to use the Wingerworth Post Office. Its time a proper review of this town centre post office was conducted because it simply does not meet demand.
Always long cues and have gone to get DVLA forms such as the basic D1 driving licence form only to be told after a 20 minute queue that I would have to go to a proper post office as they don't have forms such as that !!!So the major post office in Chesterfield is now not a post office. If anyone wants DVLA forms, I found Staveley and Bolsover brilliant without the 20 minute wait.
Its in whs smith bit small but near shops so handy
