We take our dog here for everything and we wouldn't go anywhere else. Reception staff very polite and helpful. Vets are brilliant.
The best vets I have found in the area. Very animal orientated. Booking or dropin available is a real bonus.Sensible rates for services. Great before but even better now.
DISGUSTED AND HEARTBROKEN !!Our grief has now turned to anger when we look back on events.We took our little dog Jenny to Spire Vets on Thursday morning with a suspected urine infection. After blood test were carried out we were informed her kidneys and liver were weak and she was dehydrated. We were advised that she needed a fluid drip urgently .Taking their advice we took her in Friday for the drip to be fitted all day. We were not given advice that this would not work we were assured she would feel better for it. We picked her up at 6pm Friday night even then she was experiencing breathing difficulties but nothing was picked up by the vet and we took her home. By 10 pm we had to call the emergency vet out who gave her a diuretic and something to stop her coughing. She deteriorated from then on and could not breath or sleep or settle.It was so distressing to see her like this after 15 years of good health. At 5am Saturday morning we had to call the vet out again where she was actually put to sleep in the most distressed state. I feel the wrong procedure was given to her as water was flowing out of her even after death.I believe her lungs actually drowned as she could not cope with the amount of fluid that had been pumped into her.Even euthanasia was poorly handled as she tried to find a vein 4 times and failed each time. This has left our family devastated to say the least.The final insult was the 400 bill we had to pay from a healthy little dog to end up like this in 24 hours in Spire Care. Just not good enough !!Rest in Peace Jenny xxx
I just wanted too thank spire vets for today I had too have my dog put too sleep today I phoned and was told too come after morning surgery when I got there went straight in a young lady vet was excellent no rush very caring and thoughtful She helped make a horrible time for any animal owner as good as it can be even left me with my dog too say goodbyeUnlike other vets Iv used in the past Thank you spire vets I hope the vet involved sees this and knows her kindness was appreciated Thank you
Great service. Our very mischievous puppy got somewhere she shouldn't have done and ended up needing emergency treatment. They told us to bring her straight down, no waiting around. Staff were very helpful and friendly. And our pup is fine thanks to them.
